GeoBlue Rebranding to Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions℠
This year, The Compass will have a different focus as we concentrate on providing you with the essential information about our upcoming rebrand to Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions.
In fall 2025, GeoBlue will begin rebranding efforts to change our trade name to Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions. The GeoBlue brand will be fully retired by end of 2027. As a trusted provider, we know our upcoming rebrand will impact you. |

The following FAQs should provide initial answers to questions you may have and help you understand and prepare for the impacts to your organization. Additionally, we have outlined steps you will need to take to support these rebrand efforts.

Q: What is GeoBlue rebranding to? A: GeoBlue will be changing our market-facing trade name from GeoBlue to Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions.
Q: Why is GeoBlue rebranding? A: Today, we use a number of brands and names as part of the member experience with GeoBlue. These brands and names include the following:
- GeoBlue: our current company name
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Global®: this brand is used in addition to the GeoBlue brand for our group corporate products
- Worldwide Insurance Services: our legal entity name
- HTH Worldwide: our former trade name which is still used when marketing and selling our non-Blue Cross® Blue Shield® (BCBS) products
Rebranding to Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions enables us to simplify our presence in the market.
Q: What is the timing of this change? A: The first phase will start in fall 2025. All our products will implement the rebrand gradually to account for client and member renewals. We expect to fully retire the GeoBlue name by the end of 2027.
Q: Is Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Core the same as Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions? A: No, they are not the same. Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Core is a program that allows plan members of local Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies to use their domestic benefits abroad. GeoBlue acts as an administrator for the BCBS Global Core program. GeoBlue as a brand will become Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions. There will be no changes to GeoBlue processes as part of the transition to our new brand. |

Q: Are there any process changes for provider systems? A: No, there will be no changes to the current provider system processes. All existing procedures will remain exactly the same. The only difference is the rebranding to Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions, with our legal entity name remaining unchanged. You can expect the same experience moving forward.
Q: How will the rebrand affect the Provider Portal (www.geoblueproviders.com)? A: The rebrand will have minimal impact on the Provider Portal. While the portal’s layout and domain will be updated to reflect our new brand, the transition will be seamless. A redirect from the current website will ensure that you can access the new domain without any interruptions or disruptions to your access. We will share the new domain name once available so you can whitelist it.
Q: How will the rebrand affect how we contact GeoBlue? A: As part of the rebrand, our email addresses will be updated to reflect the new branding. To ensure a smooth transition, we’ll implement email redirects, so you can continue to reach us without any interruptions. We will share the new email addresses once available so you can whitelist them.
Q: Will member ID numbers change? A: No, the member ID numbers will be the same; only the card logo will change. |

Q: What about the other names used by GeoBlue? A: Worldwide Insurance Services (our legal entity name), 4 Ever Life and 4 Ever Life International (our underwriting entities) will not be impacted by the rebrand.
Q: Will the BCBS Global Core name change as part of the rebrand? A: The BCBS Global Core name will not change as part of the rebrand. |

Your Role in the Rebrand Effort |

Q: How will the rebrand impact your organization? A: As a valued provider, we anticipate that you will need to update references to GeoBlue in your internal systems and externally facing touchpoints such as websites. We have created a strategy and work plan to fully support you in this effort, including templates, standard messaging, and other resources to ensure a smooth update process.
Q: How long will the GeoBlue name remain in use? Do we need to continue servicing members from both GeoBlue and Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions? A: While we are transitioning to our new brand, you will continue to see members using a GeoBlue card until 2027, when the GeoBlue brand name will officially be retired. During this time, you will need to service members under both brands.
Q: What materials and assets will be provided so that we can make the change? A: We will provide you with a toolkit that includes the approved logo, example ID cards, example guarantee letters, and other essential materials to assist you in implementing the brand change. We expect the materials to be available in mid-2025. We may also provide additional materials as needed to support you in the transition. |
